What do you think of this potentially genius idea for a film?

my idea is a trilogy about someone who is immortal and each part is set in a different decade in which a major vent happened, like the moon landing , and the second part could be set during the time 9/11 for example, i dont think this has been done before, and i know im being bias but iwould pay to see that trilogy :D,okay so storylinewise it starts with a boy who accidentally witnesses the death of his father and everyone thinks it was suicide but the boy knows that somehow the killer had control over him and made him kill himself, and from that day onward something in the boy changes and he can no longer experience or be harmed by physical pain, and as each part of the trilogy unfolds around a major event the reasons behind his fathers death and the secrets of the past are revealed, in spectacluar fashion of course, so whadda think?
