What is your honest opinion on King Crimson?
Couldn't disagree more. "Islands," in particular, has some truly beautiful musical passages. And while it may, indeed, be an acquired taste, the 1973-1974 line-up of Cross/Fripp/Wetton/Bruford (and briefly, Muir) produced music that still sounds like it could have been recorded, well, earlier today. Can't say that for "In The Court of the Crimson King," quite honestly. Nor for most prog in general: Most of it, even if good (and stuff that, yes, I myself do happen to enjoy) actually sounds rather dated. Just my two cents/to each their own...
