Is this story detail going too far?

I am writing a supernatural story, and it's meant for adults not teenagers. It takes place at an academy, similar to those in X-Men and Harry Potter. I was thinking of having the main character "fall in love" with a young professor. Is this stepping over a boundary? The characters are vampires, and I thought this could be a way to show that vampires are very sexually-driven.
