Do you have to have a onward or return flight when getting a visa for indonesia?

I think its depend on your status in Indonesia, If you have a temporary or permament residence in that countrey you dont have to have the return ticket. But if you are not the immigration will like to be sure that you will be leaving the country at the end of the expiration of your visa and you wont be a liability to the them before getting you out of their country.
