Why are people stuck in time and think music from 1990's is so much better than 2000's and 2010's?

I'm not sure but in my opinion music has never been so great. What's wrong with autotune and electronic beats? In the age of technology, that's what is expected of music. I don't understand how the young people in the West hate modern music. Even the old people in my conutry love modern (2000's onward) Iranian music, but not the one from 1990s no matter how "natural" / "instrumental" / "artistic" it was. What makes young westerners hate the music of their age so much? I need valid answers. Thank you! :)
